WALKING DISTANCE TO BEACH WITH VIEWS OVER THE HELFORD RIVER Situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Cornwall this spacious wing of the Owner s farmhouse has delightful views from some rooms to the nearby Helford River and Falmouth Bay. With the same family taking bookings since the 1930s (see visitor book) this part of the farmhouse with its shared entrance away from the farmyard. Visit us in May and June when the hedgerows are at their most colourful explore the many local gardens and enjoy watching the bird life. Take the 0.5 mile walk to the pretty cove at Gillan with its shingle beach and safe bathing. Opposite Gillan Cove is St Anthony where boats of various sizes and windsurfs can be hired. There are idyllic walks along coast paths or down the lanes through peaceful hamlets. You will also be a short drive to a wealth of popular attractions which include Flambards Lands End and The Gweek Seal Sanctuary. The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 2 doubles both with sinks 1 with river views and 1 with feature fireplace and 1 twin with feature fireplace and river views all situated on the first floor. Bathroom: downstairs with shower over bath and WC. Separate WC. Lounge: cosy downstairs area with TV and DVD. Kitchen/diner: located upstairs with cooker microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher TV and hi-fi. Outside: spacious south facing enclosed garden with seating and BBQ. Amenities: ample off-road parking. Bed linen towels Wi-Fi electric night storage and electric heating included. 1 dog welcome. Additional information: washer/dryer located in downstairs hallway. Location: Gillan beach walking distance pub and shop in Manaccan1.5 miles. Arrival: please do not arrive before 4pm.

Helston is a market town in southern Cornwall, England. It is distinguished by being the most southerly town in England as well as the second oldest in Cornwall (after Marazion). It is located within a few miles of Sithney, Porthleven, Wendron, Breage, and Crowan and is one of over 250 towns or villages in Cornwall in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest city is the Cornish capital of Truro with the much larger port of Plymouth being further afield.
Located at the northern end of the Lizard Peninsula Helston used to be known for tin mining, but now tourism forms a large part of its income, given its location in the South West of Cornwall between Penzance and Falmouth, which makes it ideal for exploring this part of the country. The town has become known for its annual Furry Dance (also known as the Flora Dance), which is thought to have originated in medieval times.
